At xxxx Centre, we live, breathe and inspire a healthy lifestyle. As our Apprentice lifeguard, you will learn everything you need to know to ensure the safety of all swimmers. When you aren’t on poolside you will assist with a wide range of activities such as safety checks, assisting customers with their needs, and generally ensuring that you help maintain a comfortable and safe environment for our customers at all times.

This is a full-time position and flexibility is essential as shifts will include evenings and weekends.

As our Apprentice‿

You will be a role model to other swimmers and have the opportunity to learn additional valuable skills within the Leisure Centre including sales, customer service, effective communication, building workplace confidence and improving your lifesaving abilities!

As part of the apprentice programme you will gain an *RLSS NPLQ qualification*, Level 3 Certificate in First Aid, Level 2 Certificate in Fitness or Gym Instruction and Level 2 Swim Teacher allowing you to earn up to £15 per hour in the future.

Whilst undergoing your apprenticeship you will have a mix of on and off the job training, including shadowing other lifeguards to gain the competencies required for the role. You will also be given time to complete modules and tasks for your apprenticeship and spend time with your designated tutor from our learning partner.

You must be able to demonstrate good time management and the ability to use initiative. 

The successful applicants will be enthusiastic, responsible and hardworking individuals to help supervise a wide variety of swimming sessions, maintain the Centres’ high standards of Health & Safety and cleanliness, and assist with general day to day operations.
