Parkwood Leisure is one of the UK’s leading leisure operators, committed to improving community wellbeing through our facilities. We're looking for a proactive Assistant Energy and Facilities Manager to support our energy efficiency, sustainability, and maintenance strategies across our national leisure portfolio.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As Assistant Energy and Facilities Manager, you'll support the delivery of efficient and sustainable operations across our national portfolio of leisure centres. This is a varied and rewarding role, with duties including:

  • Supporting the management and optimisation of Building Management Systems (BMS) across all sites.

  • Assisting with energy efficiency initiatives and delivering measurable improvements across HVAC and plant equipment.

  • Maintaining records for statutory compliance, planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.

  • Liaising with internal teams, contractors, and Regional Directors to ensure remedial works are actioned and documented.

  • Conducting site audits and surveys to identify inefficiencies and propose practical, cost-effective solutions.

  • Producing business cases to support energy-saving projects and equipment upgrades.

  • Assisting with project delivery from scope development through to completion, ensuring value for money.

  • Supporting the implementation of standard specifications for equipment and lifecycle works.

  • Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring KPIs are met on service contracts.

  • Working closely with sustainability colleagues to roll out staff training and awareness in energy-saving practices.

  • Flexible with working hours and able to travel nationally when required

Qualifications and skills:

Essential:

  • Eligible to work in the UK

  • Lives within commutable distance of Droitwich, Worcestershire

  • Full UK Driving License and willingness to travel

  • Experience within Facilities Management or Building Services

  • Good working knowledge of BMS and HVAC systems in a commercial setting

  • Basic understanding of energy management principles

  • Experience managing small projects

Desirable:

  • Level 3 qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline

  • Membership of a relevant professional industry body
