Assistant Management Accountant

Up to £27,000

Parkwood Leisure Head Office - Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire.

Full Time, Permanent, flexible/hybrid options available.

Based at our head office in Droitwich, our Finance department is on the hunt for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our central support team.  Our finance department has a proven track record for staff training, development and support and we offer free parking, flexible/hybrid working options, study support and access to a local leisure facility as part of our generous package.

The Opportunity

As part of a team, you will:

  • Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts;

  • Deal with internal team queries as a first point of call regarding the month end process, assisted by the Management Accountant and Finance Manager where necessary;

  • Prepare prepayments and accruals for month-end journals;

  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports for external stakeholders;

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items;

  • Undertake any other duties as may be required by the company.

The Person

  • Studying towards AAT or part qualified by experience.

  • Previous management accounts experience is advantageous but not essential.

  • Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel/Google Sheets).

  • Must be IT proficient

  • Meticulous, organised, enthusiastic and hardworking.

  • Good communication skills

  • Have a good attention to detail.

  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and timescales

  • Good time management and the willingness to take a hands on approach

  • Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team.
