Centre Manager 

Chapel-en-le-Frith | Permanent | Full-time 

Salary £30,500 

40 hours per week

 

This is an exceptional career opportunity for a driven individual to take full ownership and lead their own facility. Our dual-use PFI leisure centre, located in Chapel-en-le-Frith, features a well-equipped gym, group exercise studios, all-weather pitches, a dance studio, and a health suite.

Reporting to the Area Manager, the Centre Manager will oversee all aspects of the centre's operations. This key role offers significant personal responsibility and the chance to gain satisfaction and pride, contributing both to your professional development and a truly worthwhile endeavour.

 

As a Centre Manager you will: 

  • Oversee the smooth running of the facilities

  • Drive the centre's financial performance and overall profitability.

  • Effectively manage and develop staff resources to meet contractual operational requirements.

  • Lead a dynamic, innovative, and responsive staff team through open communication and leadership.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance excellent customer relations with both existing clients and members.

  • Diligently implement and monitor the company’s Health & Safety policy and associated procedures.

  • Be proactive in securing new business for the company and demonstrate technical competence in this area.

The Person

  • We are seeking a Centre Manager with a genuine passion for the leisure industry. The successful applicant will be flexible, reliable, and possess strong communication skills, thriving in a team environment.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the leisure industry.

  • Proven commercial and financial acumen.

  • Ability to work a 40-hour week, including necessary shift patterns and weekend work.

  • Ideally, you will have a recognised qualification in Leisure Management or similar.
