This is an outstanding career opportunity with a not for profit charitable organisation committed to providing a diverse and meaningful range of leisure and culture related activities within Penarth.
Exciting opportunities exist for a Duty Manager looking to develop their career at a high performing centre. The centre hosts a variety of gym equipment, sports hall, swimming pool, health suite and spin studio.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Centre Manager, the successful candidate will have a passion for delivering customer excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day operation of the centre including health and safety, customer care, pool plant operations, financial procedures and leading and managing multiple departments. The post includes evenings and weekends, and worked over 40 hours per week, although part time hours would be considered. The Duty Manager post is subject to its own agreed responsibilities.
The Person
An NPLQ is essential and a Pool Plant Operators qualification is desirable as well as a recognised Leisure Management qualification.
Welsh speakers would be desirable, however not essential.
The successful candidate should have previous knowledge of the leisure industry and a good level of experience of working in a very busy wet facility. Excellent communication skills, flexibility and a total commitment to customer service are essential. Successful applicants will be provided with full training in all aspects of this role.
