Estate Manager | Rufford Abbey Country Park

Salary Up to £30,000

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the successful candidate will be required to take full responsibility for the effective operational management of the site. The post holder will ensure that the service provided meets the requirements of the client as defined within the service specification as well as consistently driving the operational performance of the site.

Primary Objectives:

  • To coordinate and supervise operations at Rufford Abbey Country Park.

  • To ensure that all operational procedures are in place, up to date and being followed by all staff, volunteers, groups, agencies and other bodies working on site.

  • To ensure that Rufford Abbey Country Park is a safe, attractive visitor destination by ensuring that all health and safety procedures are in place, statutory standards and internal standards are met and maintained.

  • To ensure that Rufford Abbey Country Park is presentable at all times, by walking the park regularly throughout the day. and ensuring operational items are dealt with by the team.

  • Manage the Operational Supervisors, Operational Assistants and Cleaning teams to deliver required standards.

  • Ensure that all aspects of preventative, PPM, Statutory compliance and reactive maintenance at Rufford Abbey Country Park is delivered.

  • Carry out regular internal audits of the site, including Health and Safety, Environmental, COSHH and Financial.

  • Work with the Marketing and Events Manager, team and other relevant parties to produce a deliverable event plan.

  • Responsible for the operational delivery of events and activities.

  • Responsible for operational management of car parking at site.
