The RIC is a multi use venue comprising a range of Leisure facilities as well Conference/Event and Function spaces. These facilities are complimented by a Food & Beverage department including a public cafe and an event kitchen team.

Job Description 

Responsible to the Sales & Events Manager, the Event Coordinator role is a key position in the business. The Event Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the event journey, from the planning stages through to the successful delivery of the events.

Primary objectives for the Event Coordinator will be:

  • To maintain regular communication with event clients.

  • To prepare event schedules and circulate to relevant departments in a timely manner.

  • Maintain contact with the event organiser(s) throughout the event in order to ensure the client’s needs are met and that the event runs as scheduled.

  • Ensure in-house staff are informed of timings, information and their role during forthcoming events.

  • Complete the post event de-brief notes, and arrange Client de-brief with The Events Manager or Centre Manager where applicable.

  • Keeping financial information up to date for the event and prepare the final invoice to be sent to the client post event.

  • To help maintain a high standard of service throughout the department.

  • To help maintain a high level of Health & Safety within the department.

  • Any other duty as deemed reasonable by the Events Manager or Centre Manager.

  • Shifts will include evenings and weekends.

The Candidate

  • Will ideally have experience in the events and/or hospitality industry although not essential.

  • Will possess a friendly, approachable and ‘can do’ attitude.

  • Will be passionate about providing exceptional customer care.

  • Will have a keen eye for detail and be able to multitask.

  • Will be computer literate.

  • Will have a desire to overachieve in a challenging but rewarding industry.

DBS

  • Some positions are classed as a regulated post and therefore require a DBS Disclosure. Where the individual does not already hold a DBS Disclosure, it will be necessary for the post holder to be submitted for a DBS check.
