Pavilion Gardens is a Victorian visitor attraction nestled in the picturesque peak district town of Buxton. Steeped in history, now providing a variety of offerings including Ice Cream Parlour, Cafe and Restaurant, Retail spaces and Conference facilities, we are seeking an innovative, committed individual to join the Events team at the venue and build upon the successes already implemented since Parkwood Leisure took over the contract in 2019.
Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be required to take responsibility for the effective management of all Weddings and Events within the venue, from initial booking through to final delivery. The post holder will ensure that the service provided meets the requirements of the client as defined within the service specification as well as consistently driving the operational performance of the site whilst being sensitive to the conservation aspects of the venue and ensure all health and safety aspects of the site are dealt with.
The successful candidate is may have a recognised management qualification as well as having a track record of managing busy visitor attractions or events venues/ medium to large Food & Beverage or a strong operational leisure sector background.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the site team to proactively manage events, weddings and other activities within the Venue.
- Actively seek out new and innovative opportunities to help drive revenue in the form of events and weddings
- Effectively market the business and all activities including weddings, events and food and beverage offerings.
- Day-to-day efficient management of the workforce throughout the operations and cooperating closely with the management team to deliver events.
- Build stable teams supported with the appropriate training and development of talent to deliver against current and future demand.
- Assist in the management of third party concessionaires and manage the bookings diary and calendar liaising with all relevant stakeholders, clients and the Local Authority
