The Hawth, Crawley is seeking an experienced facilities maintenance technician to assist in ensuring the venue runs at peak performance, meeting all statutory, company and client expectations. You will liaise with external contractors to ensure all plant and equipment is maintained and serviced to a high standard.

• to design and implement maintenance strategies, procedures and methods, assisting with installation and commissioning guidelines

• collate and evaluate equipment inspection reports, proposals and quotes from external contractors for essential and statutory works

• act as the Competent Person on Fire Safety and Health and Safety and work to improve both sets of policies and procedures

• carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults

• deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs ensuring uninterrupted operation, including possible after hours call out

• practical experience or qualifications in any of electrical maintenance, plumbing, heating & ventilation is desirable

• the capacity to understand a range of engineering functions and procedures

• business skills. as you may be responsible for managing budgets, leading a team and liaising with contractors and suppliers

• confidence to respond positively under pressure
