Location - Flexible

Salary - Up to £50,000 per annum

Remote working with the requirement to travel to sites

Primary objectives for the Facilities Manager (Energy Services) will be:

  • Design, develop, manage and implement the business’ specification for efficient use and maintenance of Building Management Systems (BMS) across all buildings within the Parkwood Leisure Portfolio.

  • Lead on the implementation of remote visibility and management of BMS for all leisure centre buildings.

  • Organisation and management of statutory compliance, service contracts and response maintenance for works directly related to the Sustainability team impacting energy efficiency and performance.

  • Procure and manage all service contracts for  BMS across the business. This will include managing contract KPIs with contractors and ensuring that visits are conducted correctly and in accordance with service contract specifications. Where remedial actions are required, work with site teams/ regional directors to ensure works are implemented as required.

  • Assist with the management of energy efficiency initiatives and programmes across the Parkwood Leisure portfolio.

  • To liaise with the Project Managers and Regional Directors responsible for lifecycle and upgrade programmes across Parkwood Leisure, assisting with the implementation of works packages and contracts as required.

  • Work with sustainability colleagues to highlight and resolve inefficient use of equipment across the portfolio.

  • Oversight and management of all contractors on site carrying out any repair/maintenance/service works for contract under direct supervision,  including checking works and outcomes completed.

The Technical Facilities Manager  will focus day to day on the following tasks:

  • To coordinate all aspects of BMS service maintenance contracts across Parkwood Leisure.
  • To work with the Energy and Sustainability Manager and Energy Efficiency Manager to produce standard specifications for equipment replacement/ planned works.
  • To assist in the management of Leisure Centre’s quality assurance systems and procedures.
  • To undertake any regulatory requirements as part of the Sustainability Team.
  • To take the advisory role in maintaining the operation of equipment which impacts energy efficiency across Parkwood Leisure..
  • To liaise with site and contract managers to ensure any technical issues are overcome.
  • To liaise with the Project Managers and Regional Directors responsible for lifecycle and upgrade programmes across Parkwood Leisure.
  • Undertake any other duties as may be required by the Energy and Sustainability Manager to ensure that maintenance and repair of sites contribute to the overall energy efficiency of the building.
  • Communicate with the site's management teams on all works and reactive maintenance directly overseen by the role.
  • Assist the commercial team in ensuring Value for Money is gained on contractor appointments directly overseen by the role.
  • Maintain robust records of statutory compliance tasks, planned preventative maintenance tasks, reactive maintenance tasks directly overseen by the role.

The Candidate

Qualifications

  • The post holder will preferably have good experience of or working knowledge of energy management, building management systems and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment within commercial buildings.
  • The ability to check and adjust Trend BMS software and strategy is desirable but not essential.
