Whilst the hours are predominantly Monday- Friday 9am-5pm there are occasions that evening and weekend work will be undertaken.

This is an outstanding career opportunity with a market leader committed to providing a diverse and meaningful range of leisure and culture related activities for the local communities in which we serve. Rufford Country Park is a beautiful country park in Nottinghamshire steeped in history and is part of the Parkwood Leisure group, Parkwood Leisure is looking for an experienced  Head Chef to manage the catering operations for the numerous  catering outlets at the park.

The position of Head Chef for Rufford Country Park  requires strong leadership and organisational skills, the desire and ability to make a difference, and a passion for food quality, seasonality and provenance. The Head Chef will manage the quality and standard of food, profitability and the day to day operation of the kitchen’s. As part of the senior team this role will influence the success of the hospitality operation at Rufford Country Park including the Savile Restaurant and the catering proposition for the numerous weddings & events and the successful candidate will also be responsible for the training of a team of kitchen and operational staff to ensure the standards in  food quality and presentation are achieved  along with exemplary customer service standards are consistently delivered. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.

Relevant education and industry qualifications will be considered essential to the successful execution of the role. Health and Safety is a vital focus for the company and the Head Chef will have the appropriate level of training and qualification commensurate with managing a large kitchen operation. Additional training will also be provided for any specialist IT systems in use at the venue.
