Energy Project Manager (Decarbonisation and Sustainability) - Hybrid Working
Salary circa £35,000 - £45,000 per annum with Individual and Company Bonus Schemes
Remote / hybrid – regional office locations available

PPM works closely with its partner organisation to provide expertise and intuitive solutions to deliver high quality leisure solutions.
Following a period of significant growth and the continuing success of our long term building management contracts we are on the lookout for an ambitious Energy Projects Manager to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in leading and implementing energy-related initiatives aimed at optimising efficiency, reducing costs, and promoting sustainability across our facilities. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and regulatory bodies to drive impactful energy projects that align with our company's goals and values. This is a new role and a chance for you to be part of an expanding organisation where ambitious and passionate individuals are given the opportunity to develop under the support of an experienced senior management team.
What you’ll do
Play a central role in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of energy projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to assess project feasibility, secure necessary approvals, and mitigate potential risks and obstacles.
Manage the procurement, installation, and maintenance of renewable energy systems, optimising their performance and maximising return on investment.
Prepare documentation, reports, and submissions as necessary to demonstrate compliance with energy-related regulations and reporting obligations.
Establish project briefs, oversee the development of designs and specification for works.
Undertake tendering processes, evaluate and select specialist external contractors and suppliers for energy-related projects, negotiating contracts and agreements to achieve favourable terms.
Monitor contractor performance, manage relationships, and ensure deliverables meet specifications and expectations.
Monitor and track a project’s performance / compliance with Grant guidelines / conditions (Public Sector Decarbonisation Funds, Sport Wales / England, etc).
Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, operations teams, and finance departments, to garner support and alignment for energy projects.
Undertake medium value projects independently with sound knowledge on all aspects of professional consultancy services.
Understand and apply other relevant legislation such as health and safety, building regulations and planning.
At all times to comply with the requirements of the Company’s administrative, personnel procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
To design and oversee works using recognised building contracts and to current technical standards.Projects range from £10k - £3m.
You have
An interest in sustainability and the decarbonisation of public-sector buildings.
RICS accredited (other similar accreditations will be considered) or working towards an accreditation is preferred but not essential.
Experience of consulting engineering, surveying, architectural & planning practices and procedures supported by an awareness of the latest statutory requirements and technical publications.
