Recreation Assistant | Scotch Horn Leisure Centre

 Part Time - 3 hour-  Every Wednesday

We are currently looking for a General Assistant to join our team to complete various cleaning tasks around the building including setting up for activities.

Primary objectives for the General Assistant will be:

  • To clean all areas of the facility as per the cleaning rota’s and direction of the management team.

  • To maintain safe working practices at all times.

  • To ensure that various activities are set up in a timely manner.

The General Assistant will focus day to day on the following tasks:

  • To follow the cleaning rota’s set down in the facility ensuring that all areas are cleaned to the highest standards.

  • To take responsibility for your own Health & Safety and follow safe working practices.

  • To ensure all cleaning procedures are followed at all times and relevant PPE is worn as required.

  • To set up various activities such as badminton courts.

  • To report any safety issues or concerns that may arise.

  • To maintain and store cleaning equipment as required.

  • To carry out any task that may be relevant to your role as directed by the management team.

The Person

  • Will have excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly disposition.

  • Will be able to gain acceptance and respect from clients and the teams involved.

  • Will be able to meet the demands of the role by working additional hours when required.

  • Previous experience desirable but not essential as full training will be given to the successful candidate
