The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Recreation Assistant to join our team at South Moorlands Leisure Centre. We are interested to hear from individuals who are passionate about delivering excellent service and looking to progress their career within the leisure industry.

This key role will report to the Duty Manager and will involve lifeguarding, aiding in the delivery of the day-to-day operations, dealing with customer enquiries and ensuring that the general presentation of the centre is excellent. The position is ideal for anyone looking for work in the evenings and weekends.

The Person

The successful candidate should have previous knowledge of the leisure industry and experience of working in a wet / dry facility. Excellent communication skills, flexibility and being able to work well in a team are essential.

The successful candidate will be dynamic, show high levels of initiative and have exceptional customer care. They will also be able to ensure the highest levels of safety in the day-to-day running of the facility. Energy and enthusiasm is a must for this role as you will be promoting our philosophy of Quality, Care and Excellence in the service you provide.

A National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification is required. Successful applicants will be provided with full training in all aspects of the role. The position is subject to a DBS check.
