Senior Fitness Instructor

Full Time / 40 hours

This is an outstanding career opportunity with a not for profit charitable organisation committed to providing a diverse and meaningful range of leisure and culture related activities for the local communities in which we serve.

An opportunity has arisen to join the Fitness team at Bicester Leisure Centre as the Fitness Supervisor.  You will be responsible for the day to day running of the gym, the GP referral scheme as well as involvement in retention strategies.

The Opportunity

Primary objectives for the Senior Fitness Instructor will be:

• The successful applicant will manage the day-to-day operations of the gym in order to maximise business opportunities in line with the company business plan working closely with the Fitness Manager.

• The successful applicant will promote excellence of customer service and motivate people to enjoy exercise through good communications and selling skills.

• To take responsibility for all aspects of the daily operation of the health and fitness facilities while working on a shift based rota

• To drive the Leisure Centre brand and specifically to adhere to all operational and sales procedures.

The Person

• Level 2 Fitness qualification essential

• Level 3 Fitness qualification (REPs or equivalent) desirable

• Proven experience in managing a fitness facility or team

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Excellent knowledge of fitness training principles and techniques

• Must be able to build strong relationships with customers, clients and employees
