This is an outstanding career opportunity with a not for profit charitable organisation committed to
providing a diverse and meaningful range of leisure and culture related activities for the local
communities in which we serve.
Holiday Camp Coach will:
● Ensure the safety and enjoyment of children aged 5 - 11 years using the health and fitness facilities.
● To plan and deliver a safe programme of fun fitness games, sports and activities.
● To be responsible for a group of children during the day to ensure safe, effective fun activities.
The Opportunity:
The Coach will focus day to day on the following tasks:
● Planning a clear daily structure / program to engage and motivate the groups.
● Adapting to the needs and interests of group or individual participants.
● Communicating instructions and commands using clear, simple language.
● Encouraging participants to gain and develop skills, knowledge and techniques.
● Inspiring confidence and self-belief.
● Ensure all activities are fully inclusive.
● Have Fun
● Act as a role model for the children
● An awareness of safeguarding will need to be considered in all activities
The Person:
● Will be able to gain acceptance and respect from the children and the parents / guardians.
● A strong communicator with all age groups.
● You will be upbeat, enthusiastic and full of energy, you will need it!
● Will be customer focused and enjoy spending time with the younger generation.
● Will be a team player and be able to work well with all the leisure staff
● Will be able to develop the role on your own initiative.
This position will require a DBS Disclosure. Where the individual does not already hold a DBS
Disclosure, it will be necessary for the postholder to be submitted for a DBS check.
